What it takes to succeedAs with so many of the different industries, an understanding in Math, Science and English courses are essential for success in this industry. Focusing and doing well in high school is the best start. After high school, there are opportunities at the community college and local universities to acquire the education necessary for a competitive edge companies are looking for. Some positions require that you receive education beyond a two-year degree. For example, accountants that are auditors or CPAs require a four-year degree; a number of engineering, academic, scientific, and architecture jobs require this as well. You should work closely with a college adviser if you think you might want to further your education (past Community/Technical College) so that you do not miss out on important requirements.
